BATA’s Impact
Creating impact and making progress in the UK AT sector for disabled and older people is exactly why BATA exists. To do this, BATA works with it’s members to develop projects and initiatives, as well as making sure that we’re engaging with the right people at government-level, as well as other bodies and organisations, to make sure that members interests are not forgotten.

The Power of AT Project
BATA has brought together members passionate about assistive technology and education to produce a 3-part documentary series.
The series, a Llewellyn Creative production, aims to raise awareness of educators, schools and others that work with learners, to collectively capture the voices of children with disabilities alongside AT advocates, to tell the story of AT in the classroom.
These documentaries will potentially make an impact across 22,000 schools in the UK and serve as a crucial advocacy tool for BATA over the coming years.
The series highlights how AT:
changes lives
empowers pupils to achieve
improves self-esteem and confidence
can be used with everyday technologies in mainstream school

**At BATA, we strive for inclusivity and have aimed to create a documentary series that is accessible to all. Due to resource limitations we have been unable to create the multiple versions of the films we had hoped for. While the Power of AT films may have some accessibility limitations, we are committed to continuous improvement and hope to continue to create versions of the film that contain the accessibility measures that work for every community. We value diverse perspectives and are dedicated to creating content that can be enjoyed by everyone. Your feedback is crucial as we work towards a more accessible viewing experience. If there is anything that you feel BATA could do further to improve your experience, please contact admin@bataonline.org.
