Rick has extensive experience of the assistive technology, inclusion and accessibility sector, both at home in the United Kingdom, and in multiple countries and regions around the world. Following a successful career in medical diagnostics Rick has spent the past decade with world leading digital assistive technology company Texthelp, where he currently serves as Senior Vice President of International Education. Texthelp's mission is to help everyone to understand and be understood, and is the world's largest provider of digital assistive technology to support reading, writing and mathematics. Rick is directly responsible for the Texthelp business in the UK and International markets outside of North America.
Alongside his role with Texthelp Rick also serves on the board of digital assistive technology companies in Denmark, Sweden and Norway.
Rick joined BATA's council in 2017 and was elected to the position of Vice Chair in 2019 before assuming the role of Chair in 2020.
