Help us to save Disabled Students’ Allowances
There's been a lot of coverage of the Government's proposed changes to DSA, including statements from the British Assistive Technology Association and the NUS, amongst many others, and articles in the Guardian and the Independent.
We are asking everyone with an interest in making higher education as accessible to students as possible to join us in objecting to these proposed cuts and ensure that disabled students continue to have access to grants for assistive technology ion the future.
What can I do?
Sign the e-petition.
Tweet your concerns and help us try to #ProtectDSA.
Share this survey and encourage students, past and present, to tell their experiences of receiving DSA.
Write to your MP. There's information to help with your letter on one of our member's websites.
If you're a current student receiving DSAs, please don't worry. If these proposed changes go ahead, they will affect all students applying for DSAs for the first time on or after 01 September 2015. Existing DSAs students and DSA sstudents for 2014/15 entry will remain on the current system of support for 2015/16.
