Each year the BATA AGM teams up senior parliamentarians with responsibility for SEN and celebrities who can speak amusingly and with authority about special needs or disability.
Last month the 2013 AGM featured Shadow Minister Sharon Hodgson MP, BATA patron Baroness Walmsley and BBC Disability Correspondent Peter White. Read all about it below. In 2014 stand-up comedian Francesca Martinez (from BBC Radio4’s New Quiz to BBC2’s Newsnight) will give her own uncompromising perspective. Finding a politician with the courage to share the platform is my next challenge!
